Preschool Graduation

On May 19th, 2011 Jace graduated preschool.  I just cant believe that he will be starting kindergarten this fall!! It blows my mind.  He is growing up so fast.  First Impressions put on a cute graduation.  They have done such a great job with Jace this year.  He teachers really taught him a lot.  At graduation they sang some songs and said there parts for the program.  Then they did this little skit and Jace was a worm. I thought it was the cutest thing ever.  After that they put on there caps and gowns and got to walk up and get there certificate.  The people who were there to support Jace was me and Curtis and Cade. His Grandma Debbie, Grandma Becky, Grandpa Lance, Uncle Jordan, Uncle Jared, Aunt Aimee, Easton.  I'm so proud of you Jace!! My little man is growing up!!

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day this year I had my family over for lunch.  It was really fun to hang out with them.  Curtis was so sweet, him and the boys got me a Nook.  I was so surprised!!! I am in love with it.  Aimee made the yummiest cake ever!! We ate it all.  Afterwards we went up to the care center to see Grandma Horrocks.  She was really happy to see us.  I got some cute pictures of the kids with grandma.  Later in the evening my brother Jared flew in from North Dakota.  So we went with Aimee and Easton to go watch his plan land.  The boys absolutely love watching planes land.  It was good to have him back home.  This Mothers Day was so awesome. I love being a mom.  I wouldn't trade it for the world!! Most days that is!! I love my Mom and all the love and support she gives me.  She is my best friend.  I know a lot of people cant say that about their Mom but I can.  I also am so thankful for my mother in law Debbie.  I love her so much. I don't know what I would do without her sometimes!!!  My mom and Debbie have influenced my life so much and I just want to say thank you to them!!!
It was so hard getting this picture of the kids!! Its not the best but im lucky to have got it!

T Ball Season

Jace has been waiting 2 summers to finally play baseball.  Every since he has been 3 years old he has been asking when he gets to grow up and play.  So finally this year he gets to start with T ball.  He is on the Cardinals.  His Aunt Aimee surprised him with some baseball pants and socks and he was so excited!!! He didnt take them off for 2 days and im not even joking. He even slept in them.  He gets to play on Monday nights and Sat. mornings now threw the middle of June.  I think he has 5 games left.  It is so cute to watch him play.  He has lots of support from his aunt and uncle and grandmas and cousins!!! It amazes me how fast he is growing up.  It makes me sad, he looks so grown up when he is out there playing.  I hope that he continues to enjoy this sport.

U of U Hospital

On wed. May 4th 2011 my father in law had to have his aortic valve replaced. So it basically was open heart surgery.  Curtis and I left the kiddos at my sister in law Aimee's house on Tue night and they had a sleep over so that we could get on the road really early.  Aimee is so awesome. I owe her so much.  She is always there to help me out!! Love ya tons Aimee!!!  We were both really nervous about this operation.  When we were like 5min from the hospital my sister in law Kamiah texted me that she was in the ER with her husband Tony which is Curtis older brother.  I guess as the doc was explaining the details of the surgery he passed out and then he started seizing.  So when we got to the hospital I headed to the ER and Curt headed to find his Mom.  I felt really bad for Tony because he was beating himself up for it happening right before they were taking Wayne.  They ended up deciding it was just stress that caused it all.  After all this Curt started getting a migraine and we had to go to the pharmacy and get his meds transferred.  Once we got them he was sweating and all red.  It was a really bad migraine.  So to say the least Curt went to sleep for awhile!!LOL  We had a lot of fun in the waiting room catching up with everyone.  We hadn't seen Tony and Kamiah since last summer since they live so far away.  Marc and Britni and Natalie came up also.  It was good to see them to.  I love hanging out with Curtis siblings. They are so much fun.  I love my sister in laws Kamiah and Britni.  We have a lot in common and get along really well.  Wayne was in surgery for 5 hours.  We were so excited to see the doc come out and say that it went good.  The only thing is that he couldn't be off his breathing machine and was really knocked out still. So he said it that Wayne would be really critical until he woke up and could breath on his own.  After this we all headed down to the ICU waiting room, which was a hallway because they were remodeling.  So we all took a seat.  When it was our turn to go back it brought back a lot of memories from a month ago with my Dad.  Its just to hard to see a parent so helpless and so many tubes coming out of them.  After all the kids got to go back we decided to leave for a min.  We went down to the Gateway Mall and walked around and had dinner.  When he was awake Debbie called us and we went back up.  We got there just barely in time for Curt to jump out of the car and run to his room to see him.  We felt that it was OK to go home.  It was hard to leave Debbie there because I know how hard it is just by watching what my Mom went threw.  Marc and Britni stayed with her so that was good.  Wayne stayed in ICU until May 10th.  He has had a hard recovery with some complications. He is doing better today and they said he might get to come home tomorrow the 12.  The boys cant wait to see him.  We just want him home so he can heal and get back to his old self again. Debbie has had to spend Mothers Day and her birthday out there. So when she gets home I want to do something special for her. She deserves it. I'm just so thankful for medical technology and all that they can do with it.  It amazes me the things that can be done these days.

Checkups

Jace and Cade both had to go see their doc, Doctor Kwak for a checkup. The boys really like him and it makes it so much easier.  Cade had to get his 2 yr immunizations and Jace had to get his Kindergarten immunizations.  They are both strong and healthy.  Jace now weighs 41 lbs and is 42 inches tall.  He is in the 33% for his height.  He is my little guy.  He hasn't done much growing in the last year and a half.  Cade now weighs 35.4 lbs and is 38 inches tall.  He is in the 95% on his weight and 92% on his height.  I had to laugh because Dr. Kwak told me that I might have a big kid on my hands!! Cade has always been above average on everything.  That's ok with me though.  It runs in the family.  I cant believe Jace will be starting Kindergarten this fall.  He went and done all of his testing and he scored really high on his tests.  They were all impressed with how smart he is.  He is my big talker.  He loves to ask questions and loves to find out how things work.  Cade will be starting preschool this fall also.  I don't know what i will do with all my free time!!!  Cade is learning new words everyday and I'm so proud of him for all the progress he has made with his speech.  Cade loves to be outside.  He loves to get dirty as dose Jace. I'm really excited for this summer.  They are at the perfect age were we can start doing a lot more things.  I love both my boys so much!!!

Jace's Photography

These days I really have to watch were I leave my camera.  The boys like to get it and take random pictures.  On Sat. night my parents wanted to take Jace and my sister to go see Rio.  Me and Curtis decided to go and see Fast Five(which was totally awesome!!!).  After the show we meet them in the lobby and Jace hands me my camera.  I was a little baffled that he had it.  I turned it on and there was a picture of  a toilet with his pee in it and a picture of his feet in the bathroom.  I started laughing so hard.  I guess my Dad had taken him and didn't even notice that he was in there taking pictures!! The next morning while we were getting ready for church Jace got the camera and was taking pictures again.  I noticed he was missing and then I found him in his room. I was a little scared to even look at the pictures.  There were pics of him(some very funny self portraits that I will post below) and shots of his room, a photo of his behind(which I will not post to spare you guys the pain of seeing it LOL).  I just started laughing again and went and found Curtis. He started laughing too!!!  So get ready to see some really amazing pictures by the future photographer Jace Spafford!!!

Grand Junction

On Friday Curtis was off for the weekend and we thought "lets go somewhere."  So we decided to go to Grand Junction, CO.  We didn't watch the weather, which we should of, and got snowed on most of the day!! We got snowed on so bad between Meeker and Rifle.  It was like a blizzard.  Very insane.   We made it there in one piece.  We walked the mall and than took the kids to Chuckie Cheese. That's the reason we went really.  They have never been and they had such a great time.  Me and Curtis were getting into the games too.  We had a great family day!!  We decided to go over Douglas to go home and I forgot how much I hate going over Douglas!! Talk about scary!!!  Then it started to snow again and did so until we left Rangley.  I was glade to be home.  The boys had a great day and that's all that mattered. We will have to take another trip over there this summer because the boys keep asking to go back so they can play all the games!!!
