YW-Vernal Temple

Tonight for YW's we took the girls to the Vernal temple.  We took lots of pictures, sung I Love to see the Temple and then the girls got to go and pick out a special stone on the temple.  So from now on that is there special spiritual stone that they will always have.  It was really fun until it started to rain on us! We went back to Cherry's house and made banana splits and watched Sisterz in Zion.  Wow what an incredible movie.  If you haven't seen it i would totally suggest it.  Its about yw in NYC that come to BYU for EFY week.  It made me realize all the things that I take for granted.  When they first got to SLC they couldn't believe how clean it was!  They said they could take off their shoes and walk on the streets That really made me laugh because I have never thought about it.  Just little things like that.  So I'm going to try everyday to remember all the things that i am so very thankful for.

I love to look at Moroni.  I still can remember  the day that he got put up there.  My mom had just pulled into the back parking lot at the stake center right next door to drop me off because I had a YW basketball game. It was awesome timing because they were just hoisting Moroni up.  We got to watch the whole thing. I was glade that I got to share that moment with my mom.

24th of July

This 24th we didn't have any big plans.  I had to work all weekend so that kind of put a damper on things.  Curtis took the Cade to the parade on sat. and Jace was in the parade.  He rode on the hospitals float and my mother in law walked beside it with him.  I guess when Jace got to were all the family was sitting everyone started screaming at him and he was so embarrassed!!  I wish I could of seen it.  That night I had to take down flags with the YW or I should just say 1 YW!!  Thanks KaAolana!!  Then on sun. I had a BBQ at my house.  Everyone was there.  It was really  nice to have everyone together.  It has been awhile since all of my siblings have been together.  It was just nice to sit and talk with everyone.  That night we went over to my brother Jared's and let fireworks off.  The boys had a really good time.  I as a mom am so thankful for NO MORE FIREWORKS!!!  Hahaha  My kids love them a little too much!!! I'm so thankful for all my ancestors that settled in this area.  I'm very grateful for the pioneers and all the struggles that they went threw so that I can be were I am today!

The Joys of Kidney Stones

From July 15-July 24 Curtis was in the ER 6 times with kidney stones.  He had a lot to pass and I felt so bad because he was in the worst pain!!  Then one of the last ones got stuck and that made the pain even worse.  We are praying that they are passed now.  He was going to have to go out to a specialist on Fri. and have a surgery to move them but he went up to the ER last night (so i guess you can actually say he was in the ER 7 times LOL) to do some test to see if they are gone.  They looked good so we decided not to go out to SLC.  He has felt really good the last 2 days so we are hoping.  We are heading up the mtn tomorrow and the last thing I want is him to be in pain up there. So wish us good luck!!!

Weekend Fun

Last weekend my brother in law Marc and his family came out from Orem for a visit.  Jace absolutely loves his cousin Natalie! They were inseparable the whole time.  We had a BBQ and we went to the water slide.  It was the hospitals summer party so we got to go with my mother in law Debbie.  I thought Cade would be scared of going down the slide but he wasn't. He wore me out!! More, More he kept saying!!  Curtis would take him down because i was scared I wouldn't be able to lift above the water at the end so Jace would go down with me! Me and Britni entered the biggest splash contest. She did awesome! I didn't do very good! I chickened out on a big jump off the diving board!! She ended up taking 2nd! It was fun.  On Sun we got together and played games.  Yahtzee and Scatagories! We had fun!!   Then the kids went outside and played socore with Uncle Marc! They love kicking the ball.  It was sad to see them head home.  We had such a good time hanging out with them.  Cant wait until next time!!

Girls Night

My Bunco group has taken a brake playing the actual game the last 6 months so instead we still get together and do something fun!! So July was my month and I decided to go up to Red Canyon Lodge.  We went paddle boating first.  It was a lot of work.  Me and Chelina and Jada had a heck of a time.  Our boat kept taking on water and i so didn't want to go into the lake!! It looked gross!!  Alice and Alison were in the other boat and they did so good!!  I don't know what our boat function was!! LOL  Afterwards we went and ate dinner at the lodge.  We sat outside on the deck.  It was a really nice night.  I love getting together with my friends.  We love catching up with each other!!  We are all so busy so we really only get to see each other once a month anymore!!  Its always a blast!!

Dinoland Car Show

Last sat. July 9th we went to the car show up at the city park.  My father in law, Wayne, came with us.  It was so much fun to go with him.  He was in heaven. He kept saying "my collage roommate had that car"  or " my best friend drove that in high school" It was so neat to see all the old cars.  The boys really liked it.  Me and Curtis both love cars.  Our dream is to one day restore one.  So we really enjoyed walking around and taking it all in.  There were so many cars this year. I would guess at least 100.

Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo

We love to go to the rodeo every year.  This year was the first year that we took Jace with us.  We are still not brave enough to bring Cade too!! Maybe next year?  hahaha  Jace had a really good time.  The weather cleared up and we actually had a good time.  Jace's favorite was the bronc riding and bull riding.  He thought it was so neat to see all the cowboys.  He would love to be a cowboy.  He makes me smile!!  He got to eat yummy food and he got tons of glow sticks which i think he might have liked more than the Rodeo!!!  We had a good time together as a family!!

George's Birthday

My cousin George turns 15!!!  We celebrated him and my Uncle Mike's bday at the park.  We had pizza and a yummy carrot cake! Way to go Amber!!  He had a lot of people there to support him! Friends from his ward his bishop and his family.  Of course all the family was there too!! We have such a good time together!!
