Our 4th of July

My sister in laws- Britni, Me, and kamiah
So I'm not the greatest yet about blogging. So my pictures are in the wrong order!!!LOL We spent the 4th this year up in North Dakota. In Watford City were our family lives they do things a little different. Each year they pick a town in the county to hold the festivities. This year it was Arnegard. Arnegard was about 7 miles away. We started the morning off over there attending there parade!!! Lets just say I appreciate the Lapoint parade so much better now!! They went up the street turned around and then came back again!!! It was a blast though. The kids got a tone of candy and they didn't care what was in the parade!! How simple life is at that age. Afterwards we went to the local park were we purchased 2 dollar buttons. This got us a really good lunch which was shredded BBQ sandwiches, baked beans, lemonade and ice cream. The kids also got to go play on a bunch of bouncers!!! We had a good ole fashioned 4th of July!!

When Curtis gets together with his brother Tony its hard telling what will happen!!! I found out they are both phyros!!! They had way to much fun lighting off fireworks!!!

Cade and his daddy

Jace and his cousin Ryker. Threw out our whole vacation these two were inseparable!!! They don't get to see each other often but when they do oh man!!! watch out!!! They are the same age. It was really sad when we left to come home Ryker was so emotional!! He really misses his cousin Jace.

Kamiah and my niece Kallie!! This was at the park. We all sat down in the shade to enjoy lunch. The kids got to play and we relaxed!!

My niece Natalie is having a BREAKDOWN right now!! She was so funny!!! Then she would put here hand over her face!!! Cade is just hanging out! It was really funny because everyone kept asking Britni if they were twins!! They really could be!! They look a lot alike!!

So this is the middle of the parade!! By the way, this is the best float!!hahahaha

Our Dakotas Vacation: The Drive

We decided that for our family vacation this year we would go with Curtis family up to visit our family in North Dakota. Curtis older brother and family live in Watford City, ND. We got the whole family on board. We decided to leave at 3:30 am because we thought the boys would sleep and would make the trip more manageable. Boy were we wrong. Our 14 hour drive ended up being 23 hours!!! My niece and Cade kept getting car sick. Oh how our cars stunk!!! Then outside of Gillette, WY Curtis lost vision in his left eye and then his left arm went numb. So we stopped to take a break hoping that he would feel better. I told him there were no hospitals for a long time. He said he was fine. I didn't think to much about it then. At the time he didn't tell me about his arm. Or he so would of went to the hospital. We were on the road for about 3 hours and were somewhere in the middle of Montana when Curtis starts getting really sick. I as well was super car sick and nothing was helping. Then I got the shout "PULL OVER"!!! Curt jump out and lost his lunch!! Then I would drive for 10 min. and we would have to pull over again!!! Curtis little brother and wife were so good to stay with us threw all this!!! By about the 4th time he threw up, when he got back in the truck he had broken all the blood vessels in his eyes lids!! This is when I started to panic!! He said something was wrong and had to get to a hospital. Of course I had to cell signal to call Marc who was in front of us. We were on some back woods highway in Montana!!! I was freaking out!!!! I have never been so scared in all my life!!! Finally I got a signal and I called Marc. He plugged in his GPS for the nearest hospital. It happened to be in the town coming up!! 9 miles!!! We could make it!! When we reached Miles City, Montana we headed straight there. We got Curtis checked in at the ER and they took him straight back. Marc and Britni were life savors. They took the boys to eat and watched them the whole time. The doc came in and sent Curt straight down to to a CT scan. While he was gone I called my mom crying!!! I was so far away from home and so scared!!! She calmed me down and told it would be all right!! Then about 10 min. later the family started to call. Word spreads fast!!! Jared and Jeremy called. They are so sweet. Curtis mom and dad were already to Tony's about 3 hours away. That's all we had left to go!!! They were so worried!! When he got back into the room they wanted to do a chest x ray because he was also throwing up blood!! SO I went to the waiting room. After all this it ended up being a really massive migraine. Curt gets them, but never this bad!! They gave him some Demerol and when it was under control they sent us on our way. I was so thankful for the nurses and doc. They were really awesome. So we decide to have Marc drive Curt in the truck and I got in with Britni. I was so very sick I wanted to die!! I have never been so nauseated in my life!!! So we hit the road!! We thought to ourselves it cant get any worse!!!WRONG!! We hit a major storm!! Britni's little KIA was shaking like mad!!! I was getting sicker and sicker!!! So was Britni!! She would pull over and then throw up!! Id say pull over thinking I was going to throw up!!! By this time its like 8 pm. We are plugging along. So very sick!! Every gas station is closed in all the little towns!!! The wing was horrible and I had to go to the bathroom!!! Finally I was so desperate we had to pull over!!! All I can say is guys have it so easy when they have to go pee!!! So there I am squatting behind a dumpster on the highway praying no cars go by!! The wind was blowing really hard!! So you can only imagine how that went!! 2 seconds later and wet pants and flip flops, I headed back to the car!!! By this time I had just had it!! The clouds were dark and the lightning was flashing!!! I kept thinking a tornado was going to swoop down and take us all!!! I honestly didn't really care!! At least I would be out of my misery!!! So we were suppose to arrive in Watford City at about 10 or so!!! 1 am we come crawling into town!!! I had never been so happy to see a sign the read Watford City, ND!!!! I wanted to cry!! Curt was all drugged up so he made it threw!! When we got to Tony's I said I needed a shower and a bed!!! He said "if you hear the tornado sirens go off run to this room in the basement"!!! WHAT!!! I didn't want to hear that!!! Curt was like well look for me in the rubble!!! I'm not moving!!!Hahaha So that was our adventure up to North Dakota!!!!
