No More Training Wheels

Over the last month Jace has finally learned how to ride his bike with no training wheels! All summer long we have been practicing with him.  One day he just hopped on and took off! It was amazing.  Him and Cade love to ride their bikes!

Cade's Birthday

I just cant believe that my baby is 3yrs old.  His birthday was on Sept. 8th.  Which fell on a Thur., so we had his party on Saturday.  We invited all his cousins and grandparents and had a birthday party in our backyard.  We did a Smurfs themed party.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  He is a spoiled boy( thanks to his grandparents) and got so many cute things for his bday.  He got toys and clothes and books and some fish(thanks Aimee and Jared) Not!  They only lived for a day and we had to go and buy another and than another after that.  So we are now on our 4th fish but he has been alive for a week now. Oh his name is Maverick. Jace loves Top Gun! We had a great time and I want to say thanks to all my wonderful family for being there!! Love ya all!!
My friend Lisa made his cake.  She is amazing!! It is a buttercream cake with blueberry filling and blueberry frosting! It was so yummy!

My friend Ginger Valora gave Cade a nerf gun and those cheese puffs he is holding.  I think they were his favorite gift.

My dear friend Grandma Ruby made this for me.  We played pin the butterfly on the smurfs nose.  The kids really liked it.

Cade's 1st Day of Preschool

Today, Sept. 8th, is Cade's 3rd birthday and his 1st day of preschool at Central Cover Preschool.  His teachers are Miss Janel and Miss Rita.  This morning we gave him 1 present to open and it was his new book bag.  We are going to have his birthday party on Sat. Tonight we are taking him to his favorite place to eat, McDonalds of course!!  He was so excited to go to school today.  He picked out his clothes and was ready to go at 9 am.  Oh boy he is impatient. Class didnt start until 11 am.  Me and Jace took him in and he went right into his class and didn't even care that I was leaving him.  It once again made me so sad!!  My boys are so independent!  After I got Jace on the bus me and Curtis went to lunch.  That was so weird not having any kids with us.  Weird but yet so so good!! Its so neat to watch your kids grow up but to me it is so sad because I want them to stay little forever!!  I'm excited to start this school year with Cade.  Its going to be really good for him.  Happy Birthday to my baby boy!!!!!
He was really happy!!! Cade Lance Spafford

Losing Teeth

Tonight Jace lost his first tooth(well the first one by natural causes.)  Its a baby tooth on the bottom right in front.  It was so lose I was scared it was going to come out in the night so he let Curtis wiggle it and than pull it out.  He didn't even cry or anything.  I was telling Curtis it seems like it was just  yesterday that our parents were pulling our teeth and now its us doing it to our children.  Wow how time flies.  This is actually Jace's 3rd tooth he has lost but the dentist pulled the first 2.  He put his tooth in a baggie and is so excited to put it under his pillow for the tooth fairy!! I'm just hoping the tooth fairy has some change!!!
Jace now has 2 missing teeth infront

Jace calling his grandparents to tell them that he lost a tooth.  His exact words were "dad yanked it out of my mouth"

Bee Stings

On Labor day my work had a BBQ and Jace got stung on his ear lobe by a bee.  He cried and cried.  His ear was really red and sore.  On tue. morning he kept telling me his ear hurt and he didn't want to got o school.  I thought he was just trying to get out of school!  His ear looked red but it wasn't swollen so I thought it was just tender from the sting.  So when I went to get Jace off the bus the first thing I noticed was his ear! It was huge and red and so swollen.  I felt so bad.  As soon as we got back to the house I went looking for benadryl and we had none! So we had to run up the pharmacy and I talked to my boss Ben and even he was like "did you take a picture of his ear its huge!"  So than he helped me get what I needed and then we headed home.  Yes I did take pictures!!!!  I loaded him up with benadryl and than we put an ice pack on it! Jace fell asleep right away!! I'm loving benadryl!!hahaha  This morning his ear is still pretty swollen but the rash hasn't spread and his ear isn't any bigger so I guess we will just keep up on the benadryl and see what happens.  It just scares me that next time it might be worse.  Bees totally freak me out!

Kindergarten

Jace officially started kindergarten.  It was really hard on Mom but he loves it.  His teacher this year is Mrs. Perry and he really likes her.  He had no problem on the first day.  He didn't want me to take him on the first day but I made a deal with him that if he let me he could ride the bus home.  He loves the bus.  I keep asking him if he wants me to take him to school or pick him up, but he keeps telling me No! It makes me sad.  He is so independent.  On the first day of school we were all ready to go and Cade spills an orange pop all over his shorts and his new white shoelaces!  It was sad! Jace almost had a melt down.  I wiped them up best I could but they were stained orange.  After we got to the school Jace just took off to his class and went right in and found his seat.  He was told me "Mom you can go now."  It was so hard to leave him there.  It was very emotional for me.  I just cant believe that he is growing up so fast!!
