Sunday Dinners

Life has been so busy for me and my family lately.  I wanted to do something to ensure that my family and my husbands family stay close. So I thought we should get together at least once a month and have Sunday dinner. Everybody loved the idea! The kids really love to go to their grandparents houses so it has worked out really great.  Last Sunday we had dinner at my parents house.  It was so much fun! I love to see my brothers and sister in laws!  My mom made a really yummy chili.  It was perfect because the weather was kind of yucky and i just wanted to eat something warm.  My sister in law Aimee is potty training Easton so she brought a potty seat to my parents house.(it was brand new) Cade and Easton were wearing it on their faces.  I was laughing so hard.  I had to take pictures of it! Great black mail when they are older! !I wish Cade would potty train!!!!!! I think he is going to be the first high school graduate to still wear a DIAPER!!!!

Breaking Dawn

Last night me and my mom and my friends Ginger, Debra, Cara, my sister in law Aimee and her mom Jefrilyn all went to the midnight showing of Breaking Dawn. We have had our tickets since sat. but we still had to go up early to get good seats.  We waited for an hour in the freezing cold!!! It was so much fun though! There was a ton of people! They showed it in 3 rooms at the theater! Me and my Mom have been to them all together! It has been so much fun to do this with her.  I will remember our craziness forever! The movie by far was the best one yet! Yes it is as descriptive as the book.  I thought it was done well though and not to over the top.  The honeymoon was as expected and I was not disappointed! I have been waiting to see their room the next morning, broken bed and all!!hehehe  When she gives birth it is really gross!!! and intense!!! Loved it all!!!! Now we wait another year to see the final movie and we will do this all again!! Thanks for a great night Mom, Ginger, Aimee,Jefrilyn, Debra and Cara

Cara, Debra and Ginger- This was Gingers first time going to a midnight premier and she didn't dress warm.  So she took my scarf and wrapped it around her head and borrowed a blanket from some random lady!! It was hilarious!!!
Easton wouldn't go to sleep so Aimee had to bring him for like 30 min. and than Jared left work and came and got him and took him home!! He was so excited to be with us!! What a stinker!!

Grandma Enid Spafford's 90th Birthday

On Nov. 4th we went down to St. George, UT for Grandma Spafford's birthday.  She turned 90 this year and her children planned a big birthday party and open house for her.  It was nice to go down with Curtis family and spend the weekend with them.  We got to see Grandma and Grandpa Foremaster(Debbie's mom and dad). We love to go and visit them.  Its really neat because both sets of grandparents live 2 blocks from each other so we hop back and forth.  On Sat. we had family pics with all the family.  Me and Curtis have been married almost 9 yrs and in that time I have never met any of his cousins on his dad's side of the family.  It was really neat to meet them all.  Enid had all of her children there and all her grand kids except for i think she said 4.  I got really emotional when she cut her cake.  She gave a little speech and she got emotional.  She was so thankful that we all came.  Family came from everywhere.  Hawaii, Idaho, Georgia, all over Utah and I think Arizona.  We had such a good time and I'm so glade that we got to go and be a part of it!! Love you Grandma!!!

Halloween Adventures

Halloween this year came really fast for me.  I felt like i could never catch up the whole month of October.  We didn't have time before Halloween to carve pumpkins so me and the boys did them Mon morning before school.  Jace wanted vampire teeth on his pumpkin.  Neither one would touch the inside so mom and to clean them out.  I hate doing that!! Its the texture that gets me!!  This year was a little different with Jace in school.  I got to go and help in his classroom.  I was in charge of tracing their hands and than making them into bat wings.  I had a lot of fun.  Jace was so excited that I was there.  He kept saying "that's my Mom."  It was cute.  Also we got to take our friends daughter trick or treating.  It was her first time ever celebrating Halloween.  She is from Spain and they don't celebrate it there.  Her mom is pregnant with twins and is really sick and her dad had to work.  It was really fun to watch her get so excited.  Our first stop was the Rec Center.  I know, I know I swore I would never do it again, but it actually wasn't to bad.  They kids enjoyed it.  After that I took them around to some people in our ward.  They had so much candy.  After we were done trick or treating we headed to our Hancock family Halloween party.  I look forward to it the most! We always have such a good time.  This year me and Aimee made BBQ chicken sandwiches and everyone brought food to go with it.  We had lots of yummy food.  We had a pinata for the kids and we played Halloween family feud for the adults.  It seems like everyone that came brought more candy bags and with the candy from the pinata, lets just say they made out like bandits! Isabel eyes were so BIG!! She was like this is all for me!! It was so cute!  We had our annual Halloween Costume Contest and I thought for sure me and Curtis would win, but he ended up working later than he thought and didn't get to dress up.  So Curtis was suppose to be Satan and I was his mistress, because isn't that watch witches are!!!hahaha  The results are below!! Thanks to all my wonderful family who came and helped out!! Love you all!!

I'm so proud of my young women.  We have raised almost $1000 in the last month.  They have to raise a lot of money by June so they can go to Martins Cove to go on the handcart trek.  They are so excited!! Our YW secretary Cheryl Weeks made an afghan to raffle. Also we made 240 caramel apples, caramel pretzels and oreo suckers for our ward Halloween party.  Our goal is around $3500.  I have faith that we can do it!!!  We have lots of fun fundraisers coming up!!
